Since his hands are full with the two guitars, I grab his '64 Vibroverb amp and run!

I'd take the one most different from what I already have - 69 and 72 re-issue Thinlines, Hwy 1 Tele and AmStd Strat. If the only difference was color, I'd probably take the Tele to add to my modest collection. But if the Strat in his hand played better than the one I have (hard to believe), that's what I'd take.

Take 'em both and trade up to a CS guitar of your choice

If i could only have one of em forever it would be the strat. If i could buy the other at a later date i'd take the tele.

If they had done a Stratocaster the likes of my former '93 Tele Plus, that would have been great axe!! Shades of Robbie Robinson! Red Dually's at the bridge, blue at the neck, coil split circuitry. Bridge was the same one on the current American Deluxe. That was no country twanger dudes. It was definite rock and roll. 8)

I have both, but I would take the Tele. I like the simplicity of the thing. Three way switch, one volume, one tone knob. Easy, easy easy. Plus, it seems like everyone plays a Strat or a Les Paul.

Now that is waaaaay to general a question!
Are they the same model? (ie: standard, deluxe)
Are they the same finish?

If it's an HH Tele, I'm all over it (I want one. I REALLY want the Jim Root Tele but that is a story for another post)

Otherwise I'd have to go with the Strat. I'm a Strat guy first (own 2) and a Tele guy second (own 1).

Got some Strats, and more in the pipeline. But I only have one Tele, so obviously I'll take that.

So happens, I once had the cash in my hot sticky little hand to buy a Deluxe Tele and shopped hard for the one of my dreams - which happens to be identical to the one Snowy has (in pictures in the T-shirt thread). Same color, neck and everything. But I just couldn't find one with grain I liked, and shops wouldn't order without a commitment to buy.

So in the end I bought another Strat instead.

However, if this fella coming down the street with a Strat and Tele over his shoulder happens to be Snowy... Well, watch out!

Cheers - C

well it could also depend on the color, i mean if it was a color that i didn't really like then i would choose the other
