Oh that's actually REALLY HARD. I already have a mexican tele, so if they were mexi (assuming they are the same model no matter what, like American standard, Hwy 1, etc) I would say strat. If they were Americans, or at least something other than mexi standards, tele, not much question about it.

But, honestly, when is THAT going to happen? ( hopefully soon) Probably NEVER. So I don't really have to loose sleep on any expectations or anything.

I like the wammy bar, I'm no deep diver, just like to give it a wiggle or two now and then, so It's the strat for me, besides my MIA strat I have 2 MIM tele's

I've got a nice Highway One strat so I guess I'd opt for the Tele...

Did said guitar-holder offer one to the person being encountered or merely wish to show them?

I would have to do a snatch n run on both guitars. If i was pursued, he would get thumped.

On a more serious note, and I only chose one, it would depend on the make, model, and finish/color of the guitars.

Great question! I think for the playability I'd pick a telecaster, my hands flow better on the neck & radius.

However, tone wise I'd prefer the Strat. A very hard selection in deed, but I feel confident that I can get my sound out of a tele & have the better playing neck.

I play both & have had great luck with both.

I'd play 'em both and pcik the one that felt the best. No two guitars feel or sound the same, so I would pick the one that feels best to me.

I've already got the Strat O'MyDreams so I'd take the Tele.
