Just saw the second of three part series on the guitar on the bbc. Part 1 was about the acquostic, 2 and 3 about the electric and its development. Certainly worth watching.

Here is a link

Sorry almost forgot,

The programme stated that most of the original craftsman who worked for Fender were Mexican. If this is true you could say that
Mexican craftsmen have more of a tradition in the making of Fender guitars

I saw that! It was very interesting (and nice seeing Dave Gilmour playing 001)

I missed the second episode (M4 highway-to-hell madness). Dumb idiot: forgot to set the hard-disc machine to record the whole series - duh. I know it repeats sometime in the week; do you happen to know when? First one was interesting.

Anyone my side of the pond see the Guitarists Revisited episode of Jools Holland the other day? Hardly a dud amongst them. I really liked Buddy Guy's piece!

Cheers - C

Sounds like a great show!
Now if the show would only make it to the satellites beaming programming to North American.!

Hell, I've missed the second one as well, forgot all about it. I'll catch the repeat whenever it's on, I'll have to keep my eyes open for it.
I feel pretty sure the BBC will be flogging this to other territories.
