I don't see how Obama can lose. They're both terrible candidates, but I see Obama winning on novelty and on the country's being tired of Republicans for now. Get ready for a bad five years.

With the enormous amount of baggage in Obama's backpack, (i.e., Reverends Wright, Cohm, Farrakhan, etc., the Ayers connection, the connection to ACORN, the connection to Democrats and their culpability in the current financial crisis, etc.), I find it absolutely amazing he is even as popular as he is.

I would have to go out on a limb and say that there is something rather supernatural in play here.

I am not overly impressed with either candidate. I will say this though, We as a nation are in for another 4 years of hell.

Historically speaking (look back at past Presidents) we have multiple terms with a Republican President in office and then the voters lose their minds and elect a Democrat for a term or two.

We are due for the Democrat in Office. Stand by for less money in your paycheck and/or bank account.

They either raise our taxes (comes outta your check) OR
They tax the businesses (or people who own the businesses) who then raise their prices to cover the increase (comes outta your bank account because you're paying more for stuff)

Both parties cost us money, in my experience Dems cost me more

The media has gone out of there way to not talk about these things. Thats just like the one time you saw Jesse Jackson and Al Shapton with him on stage eye brows were raised and they have since been told to stay in the back ground. And the time the two Muslim Women were seated behind him on stage and they were asked to move so that they would not be seen there. They intervieiwed them and they said they under stood why and did not hold it against Him. He has had good people coragraph his campaing and McCain has not. I must say neither one was my choice so I am going with the least worst and the one I think will handle Foreign Affairs and our Military the best. I blame Congress for the economy mess the last few years sinces thats were the bills come from for the President to sign and they all add there piece. They need to go!

Not entirely accurate. Reagan was in for a full two terms then was followed by another Republican, George H.W. Bush. I am a strong proponent for "Supply Side Economics", (George HW Bush called this "Voodoo Economics"). I believe if it had been given a chance to work, it would have over time.

Oh, I quite disagree. I remember Jimmy Carter. Leaving hostages in Iran, giving away the Panama Canal, another very poor economy....

Shame, I'd love to see BB give the state of the union address 335 wailing.
U.S politics is a conundrum wrapped in a enigma to me. Its quite different to the lie we english call democracy i.e. who ever you vote in, the same people run the show, but you people get to address your politicians mid-term to get changes made. In england its far more of a elect your next dictator scenario.

Before anyone loses their temper, i'm not anti-democracy. I do however despise how my nation has devalued the sacrifices made by generations past, all to get a bit more power in a tinpot country that doesnt matter anymore.

Heard a cool stat this morning. No Republican has won an election since 1928 without a Nixon or Bush on the ticket.
