Just for the sake of asking, does anyone's guitar show a particular time period in fender history (excepting the guitars that have the time period in their name)? How so?

For example:
My squier bullet is modeled after an early sixties stratocaster; small headstock, rosewood fingerboard, no skunk stripe on the neck, a sunburst finish, and a vintage style tremolo. The only exceptions being the '50s style 1-ply pick guard and the 5- way switch.

What's yours?

Squier Vintage Modified '70s Jazz bass, not period correct, but modeled after the '70s bass(es).

My Telecaster is certainly from the Victorian Period.

I can often be seen waring a top hat, riding a Penny Farthing, spreading syphilis, and teaching young orphans how to pick-pocket.

Jazzmasters blow their noses at fads and barely nod to decades as they pass.

Jazzmasters are timeless in their unchanging elegance.

I've got a Tele with a black 'guard, traditional bridge, maple fingerboard and natural finish ash body. If that don't say "early '50s"... then I made a mistake when buying.

(Mind you, it also says Bruce Springsteen, which in turn says mid '70s...)

Cheers - C

The EJ is basically a '57.

Mine are kinda easy

The Strat is a limited edition 50th anniversary
it has two tone burst, ash body, one ply guard, maple neck & board and so it somewhat resembles a 1954 Strat, sorry to say they put a modern bridge on them, go figure ???? it does however have the special 54 custom shop pups that sound as close to strat perfect as you can get.

My Tele is a 52 reissue, looks like a 52 Tele, now that I've done an electronics swap and new pups it sounds fairly vintage with a bit more heat.

The Highway One Strat (current version) is styled like a 1970 or 1971 Stratocaster. large headstock, vintage trem, four-bolt ...

Hello Hendrixfan99,

My white '62 hotrod Stratocaster with it's
honkin big neck emulates the 1962 guitar
well with a no stripe neck{beautiful}.
Reverse modded pickups just like a 60's
techno-geek{I don't know what they were called then}
may have come up with.

Cheers.
