My grandpa has an original 60s Gibson 335. It has Ivorty Trim and It is also Autographed by B.B. King. Most powerful guitar I have ever touched. I will post pictures after our next gig which will be this Saturday.

to clarify which Hagstrom I want:

Image

My dad's Hagstrom, It was sold to a pawn shop in Washington, It was a one of 356 total Jimmy Ovals. That pawn shop he sold all of his 20-40 guitars. No one knows how many he had, not even my mom.

um...I'd go with Buddy Guy since I like the blues, but I don't like maple fretboards

jessholl,

I'd go with the Buddy Guy Strat, but it would probably look much nicer with a rosewood fret board. The maple fret board in the photo just doesn't seem to fit in my eyes.

As for the Gibson, I have a similar shaped model in white, but it is an Epiphone Special. No Pickguard.

I would say go with the Buddy Guy. I think you will be disappointed with the LP Junior. Buddy Guy Much better Guitar.

thanks guys!!! yeah, i'd want to change the frets. the maple just doesn't look right to me either. well, it's gonna be a while before i can afford it, but i'll let you know if i ever do get it. hey, is there any way that i can stop my fretboard from wearing out (aside from not playing it, which is completely out of the question)? my acoustic's starting to get a little indention around 1, 2 and 12...

get the buddy guy strat, in all seriousness the billy joe LP is just a les pal junior with his name on it and a few slight asthetic changes.... you might as well buy a regular gibson model instead of that, you'll get much more for your money... the buddy guy strat looks cool though and is pretty good for the money compared to the LP jr.
