I would like to hear some ideas that others have for a Fender product or a change to a current product that Fender sells be it Guitar or Amp?

Heres one of my thoughts. I would like to see them cut back on so many signature models and make something like a Limited Stock Model. Guitars that are not limited to a specific number made but limited by the availibility of the materials needed to make them. One such model could be something called a Fender One Piece a guitar with a body made from one piece of wood be it a One Piece Pine Tele or a One Piece Alder Strat this wood is out there. Warmoth sells these bodies for 80 to 100 more as a surcharge when they can get the wood. Fender could limit there production to the wood as it becomes available through out the year.

What thoughts do you have? Remember Fender people are reading this so lets hear some good ideas.

Sure, maybe Fender could special order a supply of the old Torquoise paint from the 50's and sell some of those till it ran out.

Man! It's almost like I was "baited" into this, but...

I would like to see a Fender Stratocaster built like this...

First off there would be 2 models of the same build; one with a floyd rose and one with a fixed bridge (not sure which one yet as I DON'T like the tone pros on my Jackson SLS Soloist). It would be a neck-thru model with a reverse headstock, body sides to be mahogany, neck to be 5 piece maple/walnut, fretboard to be maple or ebony with offset dot inlays (black on the maple and mother of pearl on the ebony), NO PICKGUARD, Seymour Duncan Distortion at the bridge and either a Duncan 59'er humbucker or a Duncan single coil at the neck, volume control where the lowest tone control would be and where the next tone control would normally be a 3-way toggle, black chrome hardware (whatever brand Fender would choose), finishes in black/white/red chrome/vintage white/ect., neck would also be "oiled" and unpainted with the modern "C" shape...I could keep going on, but I think that you get the point  .

Yeah...I'm a shredder...

   Nice try bro, but not even close  . I really don't like Gibsons at all and the specs I provided are actually a perfect combination (in my opinion once again) of the best of Fender, Jackson, Ibanez, and Washburn. If I were to keep going, then it'd be more apparent. SG's have nothing in common with an axe like that man and they're set necks so there's a HUGE difference there alone. I won't point out any more of the differences because I'd be typing for quite a while longer...

I was messin with ya. I know the SG has a short neck tenon, the neck is totally different, like a club. I was just thinking about the double humbucker, mahogany guitar. Your design sounded like a mahogany Jackson to me actually.

hmmm if i date this idea would that consitute copyright.

how aboult a bolt on, mahog body, maple cap, chambered strat. Just to show lespaul fanatics that its not all down to the glued in neck and humbuckers.
Seriously though, what about a decent hollowbodied strat, everything you like about the 335's tone aswell as everything you like about a strat. Imagine what that neck singlecoil could sound like.
I'd like to see a neck through option on strats and teles also a wider variety of woods.

Fender needs to authorize, license, agreee to, mandate, whatever the case may be, more Squier gear, like hats, shirts, mugs, etc. to be made because I know that many people out there would like some Squier schwag...

Gotcha covered there with axes designed for Classical (nylon string acoustic), Blues (just a few small changes here and there), and for Classic Rock/Hard Rock/Metal there's so many that it'd take me forever! Be back soon with another one, but for now I have to go move some more wood from the woods to the house. Winter's comin' and time's runnin' out...The next idea is a bolt-on similar to my Custom Shop Jackson that I had them make for me back in 1991; one-off and bada#s!

How about a good quality solid state amp? The FM and the Frontman series of amps aren't really all that good. I owned a FM 212 over 2 years ago and it was one of the worst amps I had ever owned.

Hey bro you'd better check out the "Metalhead" head that Fender makes!!! I tried to start a thread about it in the proper area, but no one knew anything about it! You seem to like metal/hair metal so I think that it would BLOW YOU'RE FREAKIN' MIND!!!!!!!!!

I thought there would be more response to this myself. Things like a simple mod or an add on to product line. We can all describe a guitar we would build but we also no in the real world more often then not it is simply changes that come about to currently produce products to make them better.
