Back when I was learning to type I played a computer game called "typing invaders", which was really cool because it would present letters on the screen to type, and as I got better I would play to higher levels of the game. At the more advanced levels it would give me whole words to type and display them quickly.

Is there anything like that available for guitar? I'd like to see a sequence of notes. Slowly initially and speeding up as I developed aptitude.

Yes, there is one, a handy little program that does exactly that. You can find it at GuitarScalesMethod.com. They do a trial version you can look at.I think it's still there anyway.
