Following on from the tv themes how about movie tunes.

I'm going to throw into the ring Steve Stevens with Top Gun

Hang in there for the solo about 2.35 in

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCTJmXrgsFg

I'm going to limit this to original tune for the movie

There's far too many to come up with an absolute fav.
I'll throw McCartney's Live or Let Die into the ring.

The music from The Dark Knight is good, especially that eerie drone whenever the Joker is on screen

I like those big sweeping epic themes. You know the ones ?
The Vikings, Braveheart, Gladiator. That kind of stuff.

I love the theme from The Naked Gun.
As for a specific song in a movie, nothing beats "Long Tall Sally" in The Predator.

Aaaaah, The Color of Money and the song "It's in the way that you use it."

The sound of a Fender guitar, cash money, pool halls and the legendary Paul Newman.
