You all are speaking 'bout guitars, pickups, strings & pedals. But when I was watching some clips of "Queen" "Motley Crue" "Led Zep" and "Black Sabbath", I wondered... Who are they without their singers?
Pourhapse I missed some topic like that, but...
 I decided to build some kind of... top ten best ROCK singers... but just can't make it...
Any suggestions?

Nancy Wilson = not a singer
Paul Rogers = very talented, but not in the top ten based soley on singing ability
Geoff Tate = arguably number one when basing this list (again) solely on singing abaility

No love for Rod Stewart anyone???

Sorry Dude I meant Ann Wilson (that's what I get for doing this a work) thanks for the catch.

I can't believe you ar gonna call me out on Paul Rogers but you gave someone a pass on John freaking Lennon! Great songwriter yes, great singer no.

Lets add Bon Scott to the list.

As you can see........when Freddie Mercury died......you don't hear that much out of Queen.

Some of my all-time favourites are:

Steven Tyler
Robert Plant
Bon Scott
Freddie Mercury
Johnny Rotten
David Bowie
Mick Jagger
John & Paul
Thom Yorke
Axl Rose

Whether you want to base it on performance, range, or charisma, these are my faves.

Lets add Bon Scott to the list.

It's cool, bro. I am not calling you out on Rogers; I just have another opinion.

To me, Bon's great talent really was as a lyricist. His lyrics (especially on LTBR and onward are superb). Listen to "What's Next To the Moon" for a tremendous example. That -- to me -- is what AC/DC has always lacked in his absence. Sorry, but (IMO) Brian Johnson writes simpleton rock-cliche lyrics which are very boring...

I'm with you and Mike 8)
Although I'd add Mick Jagger, what would the stones sound like without him?
