How will it NOT be accepted into the group? 8)

Ah but friend, you can never have too many guitars, even if they do look funny together. After all, what do you think of this setup?

I think the Rickenbacker and the Gretsch will be great friends, at least until a Japanese guitar comes along and breaks up the group...

:P

Yessir, the one and only (I think). The Melody Maker to the far left also used to belong to my father when he was my age. :D

I'm about 9 evenings into a 14 day straight set of swing shifts. Get off at 11. Yesterday after work I was up until 6am (that'd be this morning) fartin' around, mostly thinking about a particular G6122-1962 Country Classic.

4 1/2 hours later I was woke'd up by the dam phone, but just laid there. Turns out it was a good thing. 10 minutes after that as I was dozing back off I was returned to consciousness by a knock at the door. Once I realized what the obnoxious banging was, I bolted up, tossed on a robe, and got to the door as the FedEx guy was walking back to his truck with my Gretsch! (had to be signed for). "Didn't think anyone was home", he said as he brought it back. I wanted to hug him.

Within 3 minutes I'm in the middle of my front room with packing peanuts strewn about, staring at the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

So after ~ 4 1/2 hours of sleep I naturally put on a pot of coffee. And made love to my Gretsch.

What a wonderful instrument. Brings tears to my eyes.

Sittin' here at work with me and the Blues Jr. right now. (I've got a GREAT job!)

Only took the time to snap one quick pic. Pardon tha attire.

It's an '05 I just purchased from the original owner in Chicago.

It's mint.

It's beautiful.

It's more than I'd imagined.

It feels wonderful and it sounds perfect. Action couldn't be better. I'm in love.

I've got some pretty decent guitars.

Using only ONE word, I'd describe my Taylor as 'nice', my Les Paul as a 'bad@$$', my Strat as 'dreamy', my Ric as 'slick' and my Gretsch G6122-1962 Country Classic as 'fv(%!^& COOL'.

Nice collection, I predict that they will all play nicely together.

It's also a prime example of why guitars are better than women.
+Your guitar doesn't care if you look at another guitar.
+Your guitar doesn't care when you get another guitar.
+If your guitar is too loud, you can turn the volume down.
+Your guitar is ready whenever you are.
:D
