I am not a fan of Line 6 Amps either but then again I am not a fan of Mashall except for the 2061Head which is 20watt's I played through one of them at a friends and liked it. Just cant get into the high wattage stuff a lot of people like. I would rather have a nice low watt Boutique amp or quality amps up to 30 or 45 watts I am not playing any venues were I need 100 watts.

I have 2 MAB traditions and a old Washburn mercury series with top of the line Dimarzzo pickups from the late 80's and if you use a Rockman On anything you get a great tone, but I do have some nice guitars. I don't play my dead grampas 75 maple nek strat it is in a glass case with Uli Jon Roths autograph

I used Marshall amps in the past, great kit. Since I got my Blues Jnr, my spider jam has not had her cover off. That's not to say I won't use it again, right now the BJ is the mutz nutz :D

I have a Mesa Boogie Express, only the 5:25 version but god can it pump it out.
I like the simplicity of it, not difficult to learn a few tones with a small adjustment of the controls. Any extra can easily be achieved with pedals.
I had fallen into the trap previously of Line 6 amps, but never never again.
I suppose that goes for all digital amps.
Long live tubes !!!!

I took a long, hard look at the MESA/Boogie Express, especially the 5:25. It did everything I asked it to, but I just couldn't part with the cash.

It occurs to me that I haven't bought any gear in '08 !!! And I deserve something new.

Line-6 is great if you don't want to buy all those pedals and spend a $@!& load of money, so they are pretty good amps.

I have to say both. Fender for clean & overdrive, and Marshall for distortion. I'm not very big into effect pedals.

So, witch one did you vote for?

So far, I've been really diggin' my Hughes & Kettner TriAmp! It goes from crystal clean to high octane (if I need it) with everything in between! I absolutely love it. Expensive - especially to re-tube - but absolutely worth it to me!

I love Fender tube amps. I do have a Peavey also. It's a great lil practice amp. I'm suprised there wasn't much Vox noise on this thread.

Your poll is lacking many manufactures. I would favor different amps for different sounds. Any of the following are golden:

Dumble
Two Rock
Fender
Matchless

All I could say when I saw this pic was 'ouch'! Very impressive gear. I can see by the responses that everyone has their preferences. My opinion on the original post has to be, "What job do you want it to do?"

For example: I have a Crate 'Limo'...nice, but no cigar. I would like to see Fender market a battery powered 50 watt amp that buries it. Apparently, Fender sees a limited market for such a weapon and has not chosen to enter it.

I bet they could do the job and have it built in China as part of the Frontman line.

Fender or Marshall depending on what kind of music you're playing. I use both. I think Fender's quality control might be better today than Marshall's though.

I've got a Fender Blues Deville that sounds great, 60 watts, real watts.
