Of the two I only have experience with the Musicians Gear case. It's a decent quality case, especially at the price. My son has one for his Vintage Modified Bass and it's held up well. My personal cases are all Fender.

SKB. I would have gotten one no matter what guitar I got, because they are tough, and can take the abuse. The fact that it came with my American Standard Stratocaster was only more reassuring- $0.02 :D

I like gig bags. I use them with my basses. Other than flying, the bags don't take up as much space during transport & they are easy to carry.

Thats good and all but I find that gig bags like to scratch the finish of the guitar. Yes, I know that higher quality bags don't scratch the finish, but when spending that amount on a bag, I can find a decent hardshell case.

Yeah, but is it affordable? I'm looking for cheap but with quality

Years ago there was an ad for Bell helmets... the slogan was something like: "if you've got a $10 head, buy a $10 helmet." I use that same logic for many things, including my guitar cases. My MIA Strat's home:

But for a Squier, that may be overkill... I guess it all comes down to how much it's worth to you.

Yeah, just a little bit overkill for a Squier. Awesome case though

Today I went to my GC to see what they had in stock for cases. Found out that anything from Roadrunner is flimsy and cheap. They didn't have the musicians gear wood case so ill have to go back and check another time.

Looks like im going to end up ordering one off of the web; most likely a Gator or SKB case.

If there are any other good cheap cases that I should consider please let me know.

Thanks
