I was just wondering if anyone in this forum could help me decide on which case would be worth buying. I'm torn between:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Road-Runner ... 1172595.gc

and

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Musicians-G ... 1151391.gc

Just wondering if anyone out there has or had this case because I just bought a new Squier Standard Telecaster and I want it to last for a long time. Thanks for your imput.

Neither, I prefer Gator Cases because they are durable and affordable.

Is this what you are talking about:

Looks like the Road Runner Case

No, this is the one I recommend:
http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=544781
Though the price is about $15 more now than when I got mine...

Both Fender and Gibson are factory-putting good quality instruments in SCB (?)plastic cases, which are nice, affordable but not bulletproof.

All my cases are SKB. Affordable, and I've been happy with them.

My VGStrat came in one of the Fender/SKB cases -

http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0996101506

and I'm going to buy another one for my Squier Strat.

A little more expensive, but a really nice case.

Do you know what the stand alone price for the new Fender/SKB case is? I like those new versions.

I wouldn't get either one. Just grab a case that looks cool with your guitar and get it. Fender cases look good with Fender, Gibson cases look good with Gibson. You know what I mean? 8)

I like the SKB cases, but I also have a TRIC case for my Seagull accoustic. It is made out of a substance like styrofoam, but is very light, and will take some abuse. They use the same type of foam on car bumpers. It sits between the bumper cover and the reinforcement bar, and provides a degree of protection for the car during low speed collisions.
