The studio I work at is about a 3 minute drive from Wildwood Guitars. It's a very small shop. So small in fact that I did not learn until recently that they had such a close relatioship with the Fender Custom Shop. Everytime I have been in the folks working there seemed very nice and full of knowledge. It's not the place where I spend most of my musical money, though...

Anyway, if anyone wants me to run over and pick up a DG Strat for them, send along the moneys and I'll hang on to the guitar and pluck about until you can make it to Colorado to pick it up. :P

I've been in there many times. It's amazing that such a small shop in a tiny town has such a large variety of high end, very high end guitars. I've bought a few there and never been disappointed. Vintage or new, it's a great place to shop.

I'm (im)patiently waiting for my DG strat, the shop I ordered it from assured me I will be getting one of the 1st batch - with the signed book.
Theres only 500 of these so I'm wondering how wildwood got their hands on 75 so quick.

I also noticed the US price in dollars when converted to Engish pounds is considerably less than I am paying here, and if the pound hadnt shrunk against the dollar recently i could have flown over and got one and still be cheaper than over here.

I've been told mines in transit from fender so for the price difference I'm hoping its being flown in not sent by sea freight

Makes me wonder because everyone that has ordered one has been told , "not to worry ,you are getting one of the first 500" Strange huh? :?

I ordered mine 2 days after they were announced!! :?
