I dreamt that my parents got me an American Standard Telecaster with an absolutely remarkable light-sunburst finish. I played it, and it was remarkably the best sounding guitar in the world, literally (this was my dream remember?) The strange thing is, I hate Telecasters, kinda ugly, sound a bit twangy...but that dream has really changed my mind. Now it feels as though as if I've grown a bit of a taste for Telecasters now and I actually feel I might want one later down the road.

Now is that not odd?

I think that's awesome!!

I think Tele's are DAMN fine guitars, be they Fender, Squier, or a no name brand

Not all Tele's are "twangy", my friend

Jimmy Page used quite a few of them during the 60's and 70's

Be nice now........one can have a Strat AND a Telecaster.

Of course......Strat for the MAIN guitar, and the Tele as a "side dish".

I have both.

A decent tele will give a les paul a run for its money as a rock guitar and be a bang on country/blues axe too. I played a Yuri Shishkov twisted tele today only £3950, I'm giving the bankloan idea deep consideration. :?

To be a Fender Afishanado you have to have a Telecaster as part of your gear resume. Your dream was the powers to be just giving you a heads up of your future. Now you have to follow through :!:

I'd have to agree. It's a sign from the guitar gods.

It's your calling! It was meant for you! haha The force.....or something! haha

I had this dream about a month ago that I went to a local music store and saw this custom shop strat. It had a beautiful maple neck and sounded and felt AMAZING!!! It was like...perfect!! It looked something like this, although I don't remember it exactly...

Image
(not sure about the yellow, but it was something like that)

at first the design was a bit...loud! but then I got used to it and it was really awesome!!

Funny you should mention that...lol...I stopped by the local music store here earlier to buy some picks and saw a "custom" Strat of some sort marked down to $150. It was a Fender, not a Squier, but it was also peculiar as the Fender logo was engraved on the headstock instead of painted on. And who knows where it was made. It also had a flat wine-red finish instead of a glossy finish.

Maybe that means you need to swing by here and pick up your Strat.

That is not a bad design FenderFanatic You must draw a fair amout to be able to go home and remember and put down the design. Something I have no talent at doing is replicating something on paper from memory. I have designed a few of my tattoos were the artist makes a few mods but thats about it.

one time i had a dream about a guitar... that was before i got one. I think i had two before i got one.

You know what... that's your subconsciousness telling you YOU NEED ANOTHER FENDER! As soon as i got my strat, it STOPPED.

You only have one fender, and some force in this universe is calling to you, and this force is a telecaster... it wants you, and one of these days you might go into a guitar shop and the exact same guitar will catch your eye. Don't ignore dreams man! One of these days i am gonna have a dream... theres a highway one stratocaster, and it comes WITH a fender deluxe reverb! No wait... that's just my downright wishful thinking :?

Right now, i am happy with my setup, and i won't need a guitar till my next b-day. If we can get over this winter, and we got several more of em.

Thanks! Yeah, drawing is kinda "my thing." I have always loved to draw!!

Rocker_Gamma that sounds too awesome!! I wonder why it's so cheap?? For some reason I get this feeling that my parrents would take me to Misouri to get into more debt! haha That's really interesting about the guitar though...

Folks with a loyalty to a particular brand, let alone a particular instrument, are confusing to this mind.

Opinion; a balanced collection should have varied flavours and colours of instruments and amps. Kind of a musical buffet.

And play a similar variation in music.

Now go get a Tele and dig it...if the spirit moves you. But choose from a bunch, not just because you saw one.
