I consider him a MAJOR influence on my guitar playing.
I also have a friend who's singing voice is incredibly close to DG's it gives me chills.
Does anybody else here have this weird DG obsession like we do?

If so... whether it be gear, memorabilia, Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave or other collectibles, please share them!

Dave Gilmour obsessives should switch on the tv this friday in the Uk.
Most of the night on BBC4 is either Gimour or Pink Floyd and I also I believe he is performing live on Jools Holland on BBC2

Noted, thanks.

At last, a reason for BBC4!

I always kinda paid attention to Pink Floyd but never really got into them. Then I saw David Gilmour at the Fender 50th concert. Now I'm obsessed. He played marooned and it made me ill it was so good. I've just started playing guitar and if when all is said and done I can play 1/5th as good as him I will be happy.

Here is THE BEST site for DG and Pink Floyd, the music on this site is incredible. The doctor is a super nice guy and a wealth of information on DG and PF. This site is a must for all fans!!!

I don't have that book yet, however, a friend of mine, whom I only see maybe once a month or so, says he's "got a present" for me - but failed to keep it a surprise by spilling he had a "cool Gilmour Strat book" for me, so that book is on it's way to making my coffee table awesome!

Thanks ZOD, I really appreciate the compliment. I know the clips aren't Gilmour to the "T", but I was just excited to find some Pink Floyd "backing tracks" online, and I recorded those takes out of imPulse, which was dumb of me too; I have 13's on my Strat because I play strictly low-tuned rhythm guitar these days.

Cheers!
