My current day gig is keeping the dog and cats from eating each other and generally keeping the house in order while the Mrs. works-at least she comes home to a cooked supper every day.My pre-retirement day gig was designing and fabricating specialty custom fitted seating and equipment for children with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy,Spina Bifida,Muscular dystrophy, car crashes etc.My most challenging job was shortly after I started at the job,it was literally a trial by fire.A 2 12/ yr old girl was severely burned in a house fire.Besides being brain damaged she had lost most of her skin and couldn't tolerate vinyl or fabrics so I had to make a large chair/positioning device to fit her body both sitting and reclining and cover it with sheepskin,it worked out quite well and the child's mom was extremely pleased with it.It was the most difficult thing I ever did both physically and emotionally, her mother brought in pictures of her taken days before the fire she was an exceptionally beautiful child with blonde hair and big brown eyes,it broke my heart to see her like that.

You should be proud of your work Guitslinger. Thanks for sharing that. I wish that my job had that kind of impact on others.

Florida Bar # 396310.

However, I technically don't practice law in the sense of representing layperson clients. We have a consultation firm that only does legal research and writing, solely for other attorneys. We never go to court and seldom meet the attorneys we work for. As a result, today's "business attire" is a pair of Lee jeans, gray Boy Scout Troop 432 t-shirt, and slaps.

As it so happens, several of us are also musicians. Thus our "law office" serves a dual purpose. My individual office doubles as a gear storeroom:

Our law library, across the hall, doubles as a band rehearsal room:

After hours, of course.

I get the distinct honor of working 50-55 hours per week as a assistant store manager at a Super Target. Sometimes I really consider quitting and living in my car but then I wouldn't have anywhere to plug in my amp. :)

I'm a biological 3D animator, but things are looking pretty grim at the moment. Sadly, all those school career-orientation-type jobs I was interested in are obsolete... plan B was to be a pin-setter at a bowling alley, and there's not much call for cowboys in Australia.
