Hi...I'm new here...so I thought it would be appropriate to introduce myself

My name is Spencer, I'm 13 days away from being 16, I've been playing guitar since I was 9 years old, but my proficiency with the instrument is minimal...

I also play bass, piano, saxophone and I sing

I'm mature for my age and I enjoy the company of people who are older than I am

Feel free to ask me anything!

Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Cream

Anything from about 1960 to 1999 is good with me

Welcome and enjoy the forum. I only joined a short time ago and am addicted.
I am 33 and am in an original band with younger (but mature) musicians.

My guitar player is 25 and the singer (his sister) just turned 21.

We all started playing since we were 8 years old or so..and all can write, sing, play keys, drums, bass, guitar etc. Music does not have age boundries. The only requirements is the desire, passion, dedication..and some talent doesn't hurt either.

Hi,
Well there are plenty of older people here.
Much older .
I'm a sixties man myself. Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, Cream.
Ah! Good days

I would really like to start a band....but I can't write AT ALL

Already have a bassist and I would sing and play lead guitar

Just can't seem to find a drummer

Yeah drummers are a pain to find (especially good ones that actually show up for practice)...good luck. So are singers but since you can sing at least that part is in place.

Meh...I was thinking about learning to play the drums and just record all of the parts myself, but I would want to play live too...

IDK...

My dog chewed my only instrument cable up yesterday and I only have like $10 so I'm pretty screwed right now

And my SG is the only guitar that has strings on it

All minor obstacles. If you want it bad enough you will figure it out. Not to compare "hardships" but recently myself, my singer and guitarist packed up the car and moved to LA. We have no jobs, no money but....have a good producer and label interest. We pretty much have to sell off extra equipment for food money (or use change from the cars cupholders etc.) which is not good.

And our drummer is still in Florida till november so the producer is having to pay studio drummers for us to record with..all a big hassle.

But it's all good. The fact that we are pursuing our dream and all live together and write and get to play out..makes it totally worth it.

You will get there, just keep at it.

Yeah...you're right

I just can't wait for my birthday

My mother said she'd pay for half of my Mustang which means I only need $350, and this guy at school has a vintage Frontman 212 that he said he'd sell me cheap...and it's no POS

I've seen it in person and I've heard him play on it...it's so sweet
