For that amount you might be able to find a used Fender Pro Jr (15 watts, EL-84's, shweet !)

possibly a 25R Frontman might work
http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/guitar ... 4+8&page=1

not too much, its 25 watts, which isn't a whole lot, but far more than you'll ned for just playing around... if you want to gig in the future you'll need a better one, but that should suit you well

I think maybe you might need to keep an eye on craigslist or the bay and pick up something used because 200 won't get you strong for long.

For my personal amp i use a Roland Cube 20 Watt. They are pretty nice. It has quite a few effects right on the amp and a tuner. You can also plug footswitches into it. They are really small too, but they sound great. I think I got mine for $175.

I just went on eBay and there are a number of listings for pre-owned Fender G-Dec entertainment/practice amps, well UNDER $200. I have one and it's great for home use, plus if you're into keyboards, it has midi capabilities.

Lots of kids seem to like the roland cubes. They offer them a lot of different settings and sounds..

I'm 15, I have a Micro Cube my Roland.

I would suggest that. It's got different sounds so you will experance all different things and it also is strong lasting. You can turn it up pretty loud. I don't know the price, but if you wish or really want it, I will go find the price for you.

Thank you :),

Here is the price and a link to get to it if you wish to pursue getting this Amplifier. I have it, and I'm 15. It surely won't blow your ears out and you can set it to the exact sound you want.

If you really want to get it and have questions, feel free to E-Mail me :D.

You can have an alien type of sound, really great grunge, jazz, etc.

I strongly suggest you look at it.

I have one. I think they are good. You just have to learn how to set it. It's actually a very good Amplifier for really anyone. Yes, they are extreamally small, but worth the money.

I like my Vox DA-5 - multiple power levels, battery powered or AC powered, nice and portable.

Takes instrument in, line in (for CD, etc), Mic in, has a headphone output.

11 Amp styles and lots of effects. The clean and blues and crunch are my favorites.

$139.99 - many colors available - including the Vox Classic look. I have one in Camo

Gil 8)

PS Watch the video clip at MF - it shows off the amp main features and tones.

Fender Champion 600. I love mine. G-dec would also work well.

Peavey made a little 15W powerhouse called the Classic 20. Pretty much a tweed Champ with master and gain controls. It's a bit out of the price range...about $300, but it's one hell of a tube amp that breaks up nicely. It can really scream. Not that great for clean, breaks up kinda early. But for dirty rock it's fantastic.
