I'm lucky! My Girlfriend loves Guitar Center, She hangs out in Pro Audio while I'm "testing" guitars.

Sometimes I drag my friends to the Dexter Music Center (which just had their DMC Jam IV today). Since most of my friends play guitar, its all good, but when you bring a "band-geek" along with you, your "ride home" and your friend get impatient. I can't wait till I can drive (A MONTH AND A HALF FROM NOW!)

Except for the car insurance, don't wanna pay for that. Gas is going down, that's really nice, but car insurance is higher here than most places (with discounts, the lowest I can get is $360 every 6 months). Ouch.

I am lucky, indeed - and I am thankful everyday for it. Thank you.

Yeah, I guess that would be annoying...it's kinda like when girls take their boyfriends to Victorias Secret! haha It's funny to watch, but I would never do that to a poor guy! hahahaha
See, that's the beauty of being a girl, I have a much easier time finding a guy who will go with me that you would finding a girl to go with you!! ;)

I would go to either place with my lady!!

I would go to both places with my girlfriend, not my wife...I keed, I keed. Why bother bringing my wife, she doesn't get into it, just like she doesn't bother asking me to shop for our daughters stuff either.

But then some of us find just the right one and life is good !!!!!!!!!!

I go guitar shopping with my wife and I'm the one saying I really don't need it and she is there saying your the Man, you have a job if you want it take it home.

I know you guys think I'm telling stories, but after nearly twelve years of marriage, I got it made !

Man, I wouldnt go back to being single again for nothing.

And when I play at home and the notes are working, she comes in and just smiles so big, she is my biggest fan for sure.

I can't get my wife to go into a guitar store, but she is supportive with regard to me purchasing guitars. Sometimes I may have decided not to buy and she talked me into it. Fender has profitted in that way more than once.

My ex wife was also a musician. And during the break up we did fight over who gets which guitars (well only some, certain ones were mine before we met).

I hope my next wife has nothing to do with music other then supporting my career in it. I'll let her keep the house..just please don't take my axes !

There are plusses and minusses to it.

It could help you bond, especially if you're both musical.

But sometimes your girlfriend/wife/whatever wonders why you need to be in there for an hour or two or three or...

If you brought someone else's wife to Guitar Center, well,
I guess you better keep it quiet.

Well if you really spend that much time at Guitar Center..probably best off going yourself. But then your wife or GF may call there looking for you...

..so, let the salesman handle the call...say something like "if it's my wife tell her I am on my way home...if it is my girlfriend, tell her I am on my way here", or something to that effect.

Unless they (the girlfriend/wife) are musicians too, don't bring 'em (they get jealous).

My wife refuses to go into the Guitar Center. She'll actually wait in the car, in the parking lot, just to avoid going in. So I make it a point to go to Guitar Center, only when I'm out doing errands by myself.

The only time I can get her to go in there.....is if my grandson needs something for his guitar.

But.......she let's me buy what I want......and that's the only important thing.

Man I wish I would of thought of that. When my ex tossed me out I got stuck with all the credit debt. Good plan ! I know for next time.
