If you vote "other" - please post who it is. I'm always looking to hear some good instrumental stuff.

I like the Mike Eldred Trio's instro stuff too. 8)

i Like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai's solo work... it's not really a "band", but its good to listen too...also i like some intrumental songs by Rush, i realize they have songs with vocals most of the time, but a few like YYZ are good instumental pieces.

I've been listening to alot of The Bill Black Combo lately. Good solid stuff, not too flashy.

My all time favorite instrumental group is the Ventures. Lately, listening to the Duo-Tones. Two guys from 60s Surf Bands playing Surf Classics on two Fender Guitars. No Bass or Drums. Unique. Can hear them at pjmoto.com.

i like a local band to me who im good friends with called liquid distortion, they are all exelent musicians who have so much potential but have not been discovered. but if we are talking sighned bands it would have to be steve vai or paul gilbert even though they are solo artists and not a band

I voted Ventures. I blame them for me liking Reverb so much.

The Weather Report, eh? I'd like to check them out. Who played in the band?

Just "Weather Report." Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter formed the nucleus, and they were supported by a wide range of one-of-kind geniuses, notably Peter Erskine and Alex Acuna on drums and both Miroslav Vitous and the legendary Jaco Pastorius on bass. The greatest. Incredible. So far beyond what was called "fusion" that they defined their own genre.
