Honestly, dude, what do you think?

Fender is what I have anyway. Not saying Squire is bad, but, of course, the mother company (Fender) should be better, especially if it's products are more expensive.

Gibson and Epiphone, however, are an exeption, especially those Epi Elitists. I'd never get one (only because I don't really like off-brands), but dang, they ARE beautiful, and they play really well too.

It really depends what budget you're on and whether you're simply starting out or playing for a while. There's all sorts of factors. Obviously the Fender will be higher quality, but I don't know your situation.

Squier Teles are much more inexpensive and good for modding. Especially the ones in the Affinity Series. I guess you COULD make a Squier tele better than a MiM or a Am. Std. But then, that would require a LOT of modding.

All in the eye of the beholder, or in this case, the modder. :P

If it is priced right and has the stuff that I need on it I would buy it. Fender, Squier or some brand at a flea market. I am not going to have a bucket full of guitar parts.
