My current setups are fairly dreamy as well.

95 MIM Jazz bass- black w/ tortous shell pickguard, rosewood all orig.
95 MIM P-bass Special active pups- vintage blonde, rosewood, black
oddball batman logo shaped pickguard, 51 reissue neck, all orig (yeah this one is a rare one, I had to have fender authenticate it for me..real deal).
Vintage musicman stingray-year unknown- natural wood. rarely used.
Early 90's musicman stingray- maple neck, black w/old modified wilkenson bridge since I was ripping the strings off the saddles of the stock POS MM bridge when slapping. Killer bass but naturally reliced to the point I am selling it. Too ugly to use live anymore lol.
Late 90's Musican SUV-teal all orig, never use it really.

For amplification and cabs all SWR, 400w head running 4-4-10 goliath cabs..awesome!

SWEET!

I'm happy to see a fellow SWR user here. And I'd LOVE to get my hands on your vintage Stingray for a while!

My bass setup:

Spector NS2000/4 with active electronics
Warwick Corvette Standard with active electronics
Both are tuned B-E-A-D using Webstrings Detroit bass strings.

I also use my son's Squier Jazz bass, which actually has killer tone for punk!

I would eventually like to get Rickenbacker 4001 to replace the one that was stolen from me back in the early 80's.

SWR WorkingPro 400 head -> Avatar B212 Delta and EVM 1x15 (which is always pointed at the drummer's head!)
SWR Workingman 160 head -> Avatar B210 Delta

Yeah the SWR stuff is amazing. The vintage MM is vaulted and will remain that way. But the early 90s one is up for sale, I am placing it on craigs in central LA sometime this week..I need to clean it up a bit first..it is heavily "mojo'ed" lol.

All my axes are 4 strings and are played 1/2 step down, drop c# with no issues other then occasional mild buzzing not heard through the amps..I keep the action ludicriously low.

As far as you getting another rick..pretty cool basses. I never owned one but sat in with a band that let me use theirs and it played well. What I loved most was the distinctive tone..(not to mention that vinatge look)absolutly on my "must have one day" list as well.

My dream set-up for Blues, that I use is very simple yet delivers.
Fender Blues DeVille amp
Boss Blues Driver
Holy Grail Reverb
Any of my Fender or Gibson guitars.
It gives out a great dreamy kind of Peter Green, Snowy White sound I just love.
