No it doesn't make you old because that would make me old! I remember when the tv went off after the news and the Star Spangled Banner played. Where I live the only channels we had were NBC,CBS,and ABC.

Are there any members here that live in the Greenville/Spartanburg,SC area or even around Hendersonville or Tryon,NC?

Yup, after Johnny Carson we'd get the anthem and a test pattern. No tv till it came back on around 5:30 or 6:00am. I grew up in NY so we had the 3 networks and two local independents. Well, there was UHF too but who bothered?

Yes my old age makes me forget! lol Back when Johnny was on for 1 1/2 hours. back when on the tv show "The Mothers-In-Law" when one of the daughters said on national TV "I'm pregnant!" My mom almost fainted at that scene. :lol:

WCBS, WNBT, WABD, WJZ, WOR, WPIX, WATV(Newark..with 'snow')
That was the lineup I remember in 1949's NYC>

I do miss johnny Carson for sure, these new guys just dont have style like Johnny did.
