I dont know if I would go that far or not! I watched the video, the guy could play, but I got bored with it about 2 minutes deep

Actually SRV would probably never give the dude a second thought, let alone "wish" he was that "good" - playing guitar isnt a matter of competition - its about personal expression - and I think we all know, SRV had no problem expressing himself

You're probably right there. It's not a competition and he wouldn't care. My point was that really, the guy is technically better then SRV.

[quote="cryingstrat"]One of the best in the world doing his take on Little Wing. Monte Montgomery.

Goes to show what happerns when you try compare apples and oranges while at the same time treading on the toes of the faithful .

I'm listening to it as I write, and this guy is certainly no piker. He's a fine virtuoso with a signature sound, and has found an individual voice for the interpretation of this song. It definitely is not Stevie interpreting Jimi. It is Monte interpreting "Little Wing" which is a totally different vibe.

CS is not "off the wall'' in his observations here.

Hi fellows!!!
A little off the "little wing" subject, but still on the non-electric players.
This one never fails to make me smile, almost laugh; i think it's because of the way he moves.
Simply amazing!!!
