The Behringer Guitar Link UCG102 is nifty little gizmo for hooking you guitar up to your computer via a USB port.

http://www.behringer.com/UCG102/?lang=ENG

Comes with all the software you would need to record. It's pretty cool. I got one and started playing around with it a couple of days ago.

I got it to try my hand at some home recording. It looks like it will work out just fine.

Not a bad deal for $45.00. I think I might have to give one a try.
Hey Chet, how do the amp models sound?

They sound excellent!!!!

They have 3 different combos. You get one free. The other 2 are inexpensive. You do get to demo all 3 for 30 days though.

I've also checked out Audacity. It's a great program, especially since it's free. I think I'll be ordering one of those Behringer UCG102's this week. Wow, what an inexpensive recording setup! Thanks for the tip Chet!

Which one do you prefer, Audacity or Kristal?

I really haven't experimented with either yet. I believe they are to be used as a team. Do part of the recording on one then combine tracks on the other.
I'm really new at this stuff.
