Almost anything by Steely Dan especially Aja

Disraeli Gears - Cream

Sticky Fingers - Rolling Stones

I agree with a lot of the others too like the Beatles, Zep (not Presence. What was The Object?), Dark Side of the Moon.

funny -- I never liked this album much; I would put his first solo album here, though

Presence? I love Presence. "Tea for One" is one of their best songs ever

You got me  I agree with you on DG's first solo effort! and Led Zep. It's tough with them because all of their stuff timeless!! I corrected my post

OK, I'll back off of my statement. All of my vinyl is stored up north so I had to go into Amazon to play the samples because I couldn't even remember what songs were on it. It really wasn't as bad as I remembered it. Still, I never played it much and while I have all the LZ records before Presence, I never bought another one because of it.

I have always considered RHCP's Blood Sugar Sex Magik to be perfect.

Of course Pink Floyd - DSOTM.

Albums where you just would not change a single note. Great question - answer: very few.

To me Rubber Soul and Abbey Road come close - but are spoiled by Ringo's silly songs. The Who By Numbers is very close to a total gem - but is marred by Entwhistle's so-so track. Love Quadrophenia but often skip certain moments.

And so forth.

Joe Bonamassa's You and Me is nearly, nearly perfect. (Just not sure about the vocal on Tea for One...)

Not a diehard Floyd fan, but can't find anything to change on Echoes [EDIT: by which I of course mean Meddle - been mixing those two words up for 30 years... d'uh].

Carly Simon's No Secrets: not your taste, perhaps, but that is sheer perfection. Not a note out of place from start to finish.

And ultimately, The Allman Brothers Live at Filmore East. That's the one, that's medal winner. Hardwire that one into my brain, please.

(Two or three perfect Buddy Rich albums, too, but I guess that's for a different website...)

- C
