I am very much a beginner, but I have a good friend who is a professional guitarist. He thinks that a Strat is easier to chord on, but a Gibson is easier to solo on.
The difference being the 9.5" radius versus the 12".
They are both hard for me....

Personally, over decades, 'do not notice ANY difference in "ease of playing" (or difficulty) from picking a Strat to LP To Jazzmaster to SG to Firebird to Tele.

Secret to this? Find YOUR ideal string gauge(s) and get a top-drawer pro setup for your guitar(s).

Strats are most comfortable overall for me, except for playing bar chords. I find the flatter fretboard on my SG to be easier for those.

And Volkswagons are easier to drive than Subarus.....

Hey I resent that...I have 3 Subarus!!! Besides the WRX in my signature, my son has an Outback wagon and the soon-to-be-ex-wife has a Legacy...great cars.

P.S.
I got my strat because it is easier for me to do barre chords and learn on, even thought I still love my LP...it's the growl.
