I was wondering how people like them and what kind you use if any. I have the Dunlop Cry Baby and was looking for some input on this item.
Sorry I didn`t research the threads on this topic so I hope I`m not opening another thread on the same subject.

I seldom use one for live playing, but use a Teese for recording and times when that sound is needed.

Geoffrey Teese makes some great sounding ones.

Besides the Hendrix-like "wah wah" effect, it can also be used as a tone device, being left in a certain postion for a particular passage, a guitar solo, or even a whole song. Michael Schenker of UFO comes to mind who was notorious for this.

Modded GCB-95. I'm probably going to take it back a little closer to stock though. It has a "voice" mod done to it, and it was a bit too much of a change.

I'm also considering the possibility of converting it to a tube wah.

I have a older Dunlop GCB-95 that I bought used for $45. Its a nice wah, but it sucks hardcore on driven channels. REALLY GOOD wah otherwise though! :D

I have a Dunlop Hendrix sig Cry Baby. It was a Father's Day gift from my wife. I love it! I am still exploring all of the different uses and tone/voice variations I can create with it.

I haven't used a wah in years. I used to use a original Cry-Baby, but they're kind of thin.

Has anyone tried the new Buddy Guy signature Cry-Baby? I'm not crazy about the polka dots, but sounds great on jimdunlop.com. Just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with it yet.

I've got the Jimi Hendrix Dunlop Brand wah from about '93. It makes good vibrations but it picks up some pretty clear radio stations, and that stuff is really annoying.

I use a very old (Thomas Organ) Cry Baby. I bought it used in 1974!

Though I don't use it in EVERY song, I'd be lost without it in my tone chain.

Guitar ==> Cry Baby ==> Amp

Keep it simple, sunshine!

This is timely. I just pulled my old Morley out of storage about a week ago. I remember thinking when I put it away that it didn't have the same wide range as my wah from the '70s. But now that I'm experimenting with it again, it sounds pretty good. Besides experimenting, I'm doing some Cream songs like "White Room" and "World of Pain".

I'm using a Jen (italy made) crybaby super that sports a white fasel. I moded it a tad to give it a wider sweep and i still have to fix the DPDT switch (doesn't always engage). love it! not like the new cheap ones with the inputs stuck to the board that make thru by-pass almost impossible :)
