OK, you have to be a musician to figure this one out...or something close, anyway. :D When you hear some guitar tones, do you think of certain colors? For example, I was watching John Mayer's new live show, while he was playing I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You), and one of the thoughts that came to mind aside from how much I loved the guitar tone was that it sounded "blue." Anybody think like this sometimes?

For me the blues have always felt brownish.

From Wikipedia:
The phrase "the blues" is a reference to the the blue devils, meaning "down" spirits, melancholy, and sadness. An early reference to "the blues" can be found in George Colman's one act farce Blue devils (1798).[2] Later during the 19th century, the phrase was used as a euphemism for delirium tremens and the police, and it has been found used in these contexts in letters from Civil War soldiers.[citation needed]

Though the use of the phrase in African American music may be older, it has been attested to since 1912, when Hart Wand's "Dallas Blues" became the first copyrighted Blues composition.[3][4] In lyrics the phrase is often used to describe a depressed mood.[5]

I do know what you mean though, a pipe organ has always felt Red to me.

Sure, sometimes I associate smells with colors. This is starting to turn into an acid trip.

Hey! Don't make fun of me! I actually had incense and had black lights (remember.......I grew up in San Francisco, and was there during the summer of love (I lost out on that love stuff, though....oh well.......)

I with you I did the same. Music, black lights, incence, sugar cube or a roon and go for a ride and never leave the room.

Same here. Incense, black lights, strobe lights, herbal remedies, occasional little square pieces of paper. Yup, that's my youth.
