Regarding the Belushi imitating Joe Cocker. I found Joe Cocker's performance of "A little help from my friends" at Woodstock, and it's not any less comical than Belushi's treatment, but Cocker sang it very well. Search on You Tube and you can find it too.

That's why Belushi's skit was so funny, because it was so real.

One often sees agonized facial expressions and bodily contortions of performing musicians. Also, is it particularly hot on stages? They seem to sweat a lot. Is this just theatrics?

You don't have to actually play the instrument to make the stupid face!

My friends & I always called these faces you are describing "F*%! Faces"
But that's not good forum language.

This is somthing I try hard to avoid...

And yes those lights could keep food warm at the food line in a cafeteria.

You should look at Angus Young's face when he plays.

I do not think Angus has one single vertebra in his neck. He gives new meaning to the term rubber neck.

Clapon essentially makes no face!s!!

It's fun to watch people make faces, especially joe cocker. Hendrix yawned a lot when he was playing... he must've been tired!!! :)

He also listened to his guitar at woodstock! Makes me wonder what happpend at that moment...

..."whats that? You want me too... what? You want me to go into a crazy solo!?"

Belushi did Cocker better than Cocker himself it was spot on!
