How did you choose your user name?

For example, I've used "russianracehorse" for pretty much everything since about 1996. I was a Russian linguist in the Air Force, and I wanted an online ID that would acknowledge that part of my life. After going through a number of options, I thought of the phrase "have to pee like a Russian racehorse." It made me laugh, so I've stuck with that name ever since.

How about your name?

No rhyme or reason behind my name. I just needed a name for this forum, and this is what I came up with. Plus, it's an easy one for someone to remember.

I have no idea. I don't like the usernames I've had on other sites, and I was listening to the Muse song Citizen Erased when I made this, so it sounded good and stuck.

I play the Blues and I hang out in Jails for a living.

You get to see a lot of Blues there.

Mine was a complete choke job. I don't belong to any other forums, other than as a lurker, so I don't have an established handle. I had been using another "strat" derivative as a personal access code, so I tried it here but it was taken. I kept trying other forms, but they too were taken. Now if you recall, when you sign up here, once you have a username associated with your profile, you can't change it. So I tried this, and I tried that an at one point, just tried "strato" and Bingo, it worked. So now I'm strato.

Listen to any David Gilmour solo and you'll hear a stratocaster cry.

My 1st real bass is an '87 Power Jazz Bass Special that I bought new. Putting the Special took it longer than I wanted to type - yeah I know, like powerjazzbass is short or something.

Both my wife and I are named Pat. To avoid confusion within our families I am reffered to as Old Pat and she is reffered to as Pretty Pat. So I use my nickname as a moniker on any site I subscribe to that way my family knows it's me. Aside from all of that I really am old now.
