Someone here usually attends this thing. I got their ad and what an
amazing lineup of talented performers!

I wish I could remember the forum member who used to always
talk about how great this event was.

That was interesting, Mike. Back around ‘87 I chatted and watched live video from a web cam with me in Victoria, BC and a gang showing the parade pass by in New Orleans. They were gracious hosts and educated me about all that was the Mardi Gras and the festivities. I stayed with them for most of the evening as they partied hard there with Hurricanes, and I partied up here. Some of their names (local or nicknamed) were pretty funky too. What fun and a great memory. Not as much fun as being there. but almost. :D
That list of artists? Whoa! Imagine what it would cost to take all that in. We saw Doug Kershaw outdoors at Montana’s State Fair in the 70s and I have a CD with him and his brother. Rusty’s gone now and Sammy Kershaw is a third cousin. I always wondered what happened to Doug being the character he is. Glad to see he’s still performing in his 80s.

Thanks, for the post, Mike.
