I voted for Converse, since I have several pairs of Chuck Taylor All Star high tops, but I've also got a pair of Vans (they were on sale, and have hot rod flames). I also wear boots quite a bit, especially my all black Army jungle boots, now that the tan boots for the ACUs (Army Combat Uniform) have taken over the black boots.

I'm with you on that, but my wife and daughters love 'em.

I wear tennies 90% of the time, at work and play. Sandals when I can.

I went back to Chuck Taylors about two years ago after not wearing them for years and years. Gotta' love em. I also wear 'casual' sneakers, such as the Puma Clyde and Adidas Shell-Toe, as well as skateboard shoes (so comfy). You'd be lucky to catch me in anything near dress-shoe-style. Thank goodness my career does not call for a certain type of dress-code...

asics onitsuka tiger series.

I switch them out when they wear out, so far I've had four pairs over the past five years

I wish I could go barefoot mostly, but gravel roads, hidden nails, other puncture-wound-causing objects... I do slippahs (sandals) in the summer, and vans slip-ons in the winter.
