Only if the switch is correctly bypassed.

I recommend you take the amp to a qualified service technician.

*100, or +1000.

I get you're new here, and given the whole 1st post approval (delay) because of forum policies, the forum posters don't have much choice in terms of replies.

Because of that policy, we don't see your posts until it gets "approved" by a forum "moderator".That's essentially Brad.
Brad is essentially limited by Fender's lawyers, because of "liabilities" real or imagined by those lawyers.

So, please understand that you have not provided much information, and you posted in the general forum, instead of posting in the "Vintage Guitar Amplifiers" forum. You're new here, and now may be wondering "How do I determine who is a "qualified" technician?

A very good question.

Where do you live? Why would you be willing to provide that information?

Perhaps you might be willing to provide some pictures of the inside of your chassis, so we might see how you have no standby switch or how you have attempted to 'bypass" it.

Please don't get me wrong, this is not an attempt to chastise you, we would like to help you if possible. Trouble shooting by internet is very difficult.

At least give us some clue that you know what you're doing. There are lethal voltages in a tube amp, and we won't go beyond that. No lawyers necessary, no one here will recommend that you go poking around in a situation that has lethal consequences if you don't know what your are doing.

The internet can be a useful thing for learning. But it has its limits.

Cheers, I hope you won't be a stranger here.
