I've got my eyes on this strat but the problem is that it has no serial number. So if you guys could help me out, thanks in advance.

Looks to me like it is a real Squire, with Fender headstock logo and Fender neck plate and Fender locking tuners. A LOT of Squires (especially Bullets) do not have a Serial Number on the headstock.

IMHO, looks very much like an Indonesian Affinity HSS in Metallic Red or Red Sparkle. I think those often came as packs with an amp & embellishments.

Could be a nice guitar if it plays nice and the price is right; in the 150 area or so.

But a Fender, nope.

I see, I was worried because the owner told me on the phone that It was an American player model. Personally I'm not sure what it means especially since I'm new to the guitar thanks for the tips!

If you're just starting out, why not go to a local guitar center and look at one of these.

they may have lots of other guitars that grab your attention as well

First of all...the "Player Series" is the new Made In Mexico "Standard Series" that took over the Standard in 2018. Secondly; if it was an MIM Player, it would have a Serial Number, and they didn't/don't come with locking tuners, nor a neck plate that says "Fender Corona California".
I understand you're new...and it's a good thing you came to us...because this guy trying to sell you this guitar is an $@!&#*%. Like jmattis said, offer him $150 for it....maybe $175 with the locking tuners, or tell him to go pound sand.
