Hmm,
51 now...is that possible?? :? Played a bit when still a kid, gave it up cause I was a serious hockey player  (on blades 7 days a week) Took it up 6 years ago, for about 3 months before an accident cut that short....back at it again for the last year and a half.
Total playing time then say 2 years or so. I would regret the lost years but enjoyed hockey...sure happy I started up again though, one of my greatest enjoyments! Looking forward to one day getting out and playing with others!!

Hey guys, I'm 16, and I guess I've been playing since 14, because that's when I got my first electric. I've been playing mandolin for about 3 years now.

I was ten when I got my first guitar too. Only that was 1970. How'd that happen?

Too old!!!

No really, old enough to afford new toys... Young enough to feel guilty about it.

I have to agree on this one- I could never understand why someone would want a fake relic job- I just watched the movie "Crossroads" with Ralph "Karate Kid" Macchia and it's kind of the same thing- he thought himself a "Blues Man" but it was just show- not real -until something happened to him to really make him feel heartache. Now if I was given a guitar that was 50 years old and naturally "reliced" - ok that's fine- but to fake it? nah... :?

I'm 49. Been playing since I was about 12 or so. Solely acoustic for the first 4 or 5 years and then electric from then on. I picked up bass in the 80's after I'd been in bands for awhile.
