Ernie Ball is best known for using compensated nuts and neodymium pickups for their instruments, Ibanez and Conklin are two famous names pioneering the locking jack feature on their basses. Fender already offers the compensated nut as a Custom Shop option, Jason Davis' custom creations were the only Fender basses to sport locking Neutrik jacks.

Currently there are no Fender pickups with neodymium magnets yet.

Very interesting chromeface. I am a bit suspicious about neodynium.

Fender tinkered with samarium cobalt magnets in 2004.
