I'd have to say no. It's still just a guitar and won't make you play better or sound better then your gear allows. Dollar for dollar you can do better.

^exactly.... spend 20,000 on amazing amps, heads, PA system, pedals and such that will give you your tone and 5,000 on an amazing fender or gibson or something, not 25,000 for a guitar

I'm still trying to figure out why ANY guitar would sell for 25,000 dollars.

I would say no on this one too. I dont think there is anything about that guitar that says $25,000.

I can think of many other things to spend that kind of money on before I would even consider that guitar.

I saw one behind glass at the Van Ness store in SF and it just didn't do it for me.

my local GC has this guitar.. not really interested in that one, but the one next to it was the Jimmy Page doubleneck replica (i would probably pay 8000 dollars for that)

Or buy a really nice CS strat, a pro level rig and dump the other 20,000 into studio time. I'm not trying to knock the company...if they can sell 'em, why not make 'em? I'm just trying to imagine who would pay such an amount. If they did a Bill Black Tribute Precision (hint!!! :D ) as much as I'd want one, I doubt I'd pay much over the regular CS P price for one.
Then again I never got the whole EVH thing anyhow.

Maybe $25,000 for the ORIGINAL Eddie VH guitar, but not for a replica. I think any one of us could take one of our guitars and replicate it... but then again, why would we?

I can see where Fender is coming from. There are some crazed EVH fans and collectors that WILL pay 25 grand to buy it. And a lot of people have. But it's more of a conversation piece, or a piece of art to be stashed away in a glass case like the way I saw it at Sam Ash.

Looking at it up close, I don't think it could sound good, and there'd be no reason for anyone to ever play one regularly. It's not my cup of tea, but then again, I'm less opposed to the Clapton Blackie replica. Maybe because the Blackie's pickups don't jiggle around in the body.
