Hey fellow Fender'ites.. I checked out an Aerodyne jazz bass and liked it a lot and more than I thought I would. I love the lightness of it and thin neck for my style of playing... but.. the pickups I don't like at all and would want to change 'em. Does anyone know if a 9v battery would fit in the back cavity? I really would like to get EMG's into it without a lot of modifying/digging out the cavity more than it already is, if possible.

I'm not familiar with the Bass, so I looked it up---by looking at the picture of the back of the Bass, the cavity cover looks to be just enough to house the 3 pots. Unless the picture is deceptive, I doubt there is room for a battery.

SLIM BODY WITH BINDING AND CARVED TOP...
Not likely; but maybe you could wire an external 9v to the strap. Not very professional looking but it might work. Or you could epoxy/velcro a 9v box to the back cover of the bass, wont be hidden or great looking but if thats what you want.
