Sure I do! I looked at the English bikes before I bought the Sportster. Triumphs, BSA's, Norton Commandos (most were black or yellow but I wanted the creamsicle orange one). It was just before The Great Displacement Wars - when the 350's became 400's, the 650's became 750's, and even the Sportster went from 900 to 1000cc.

The father of the guy who ran the local Yamaha dealership (this was in the '70s) had a fully restored Indian Chief in red with white leather saddlebags with the fringe on them, the tail light in the shape of an indian chief's head, and, of course, the suicide shifter !!!! It would be priceless today.

This was in a time when Honda's CB350 was the most popular bike around. I can't imagine a serious biker settling for 350cc today.

My first introduction to the Indian, was an old man who rebuilt one. I loved the Triumphs.......and there was even a Truimph sports car that a friend of mine had.....it was a convertable..........I sat in the back once........but I didn't like it.....cuz it messed up my hair.

Had a honda xl250 when i was 13
took my road test on dads 66' triumph Bonneville 650
the instructor tried to fail me because it didn't have turn signals and dads 60'something Chevy pickup didn't have seat belts, had to explain that both vehicles were not produced with those features and they couldn't fail me for that

Yes... I had a Honda 50. That's where I learned to ride. Then a Honda CR350, CB550, CB750. Then I moved up to the big twins.

MORE COWBELL!!!

I've had a few bikes over my lifetime. I just sold my '88 Goldwing a few months ago. I'd like to consider another bike in the future, but it'll probably be in a few years when I retire from the Military and move the heck away from the moron drivers on the roads around here.
