House full of screaming, giggling teenage girls are here celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday. I represent the only testosterone in the building!

Let's see - did that with my daughter many times and I've done it with my two granddaughters several times

You will survive - just go with the flow :P

Standard flight deck gear when you're around turning turbines is double hearing protection - foamies inside of mickey mouse ears.

Not doing me any good at all . . .

I get a T-shirt or a steak or something if I survive the night, right?

You should, but you'll most likely get a mess you have to clean up in the morning instead.

Hey, we go through the same thing, but we have a finished basement/rec-room.We rent them movies, buy pizza, soda and snacks and we don't see them all night! There's even a bathroom down there, so we close the upstairs door and let them do their own thing. GOOD LUCK!!!

This is yet another challenge of parenthood one must endure. You will survive. And next time you will remember, and become very frightened.

Well, at least they've settled down in front of the TV with bags of popcorn to watch Phantom of the opera . . . the problem is that it's gone from screaming girls to opera!

Oh the humanity!!!
