I have my first gig!! Well, i've done like a small thing before, but my guitar teacher has this program where he's set me up with a band and helps us to get ready for a couple gigs that he's set up! So i'm playing at this local Fair..the Grange Fair! I've gone like every year and it's a pretty big thing around here! So I'm pretty excited! I play tomorrow, we'll be doing this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f07JeOGqV0g It's pretty easy, but we added a solo after the bridge. Then later on we'll be playing somewhere else. It's gonna be my band and some other bands that my teacher is helping as well durring the time that we have, but it's pretty exciting! Tomorrow is the big night!! :) However, we haven't had too much time to practice with everyone there, but things went pretty well at practice today! So i'm excited!!

Whoa!! Thats something I and my friends only DREAM of doing, and you've accomplished such a goal. Me and my friends are having a band meeting this weekend...for the school talent show in April. You've gone onto playing on stage.

Shoot, to heck with the rambling! Rip it UP out there!!

:D

well we have one more gig after it for sure. I'm not sure about after that...it would be cool if it would work out!

Hopefully this experience will help you get to know other players. That, and with the help of your teacher, I'm sure you can find some people interested in playing. And once you're playing in a band, you'll meet a lot of other people who play. That way....if one band fails......you'll have people you know you can contact to form another one. Hopefully this will all work out for you.

I tried to get on last night, but hours were closed. Oh well..anyway, everything went pretty well, although there were some issues with the vollume for me. We did do a sound check before hand, but in the end the drums overpowerd me, so I wasn't easily heard, but my teacher said that I hit the solo really well! I was pretty happy! In his opinion we were the tightest band there, so that's good! :D Also, this one guy who is in charge of the entertainment around here came over and said that we did a really good job, and that he wasn't just saying that but that he really ment it. He said he wasn't expecting that! So all went pretty well despite being a little quiet, and I had a blast! It was so much fun! OH! and the last band did Scuttlebuttin followed by Voodoo Chile and that guitarist was amazing!! I enjoyed watching that one so much!!!!!! It was so cool!!!
