I just liked the way the Strat sound and felt. Seemed like a good design. Price was reasonable.

Why did you pick a Fender instead of a Gibson?

I think it's the best feeling neck of all the other guitars I've played. I've played Gibsons in the past, and it seemed a lot harder to play. Also......the body of a strat feels so natural against my body, than other guitars. It also has a good sound too.

Because a good portion of the music I grew up with and love was played on a Fender. That's why I'm the proud owner of a new Stratocaster.

A good portion of the music I grew up with and love was also played on a Gibson. That's why I also have a Les Paul.

If the house caught fire and I had time to grab only one...I'd either put the fire out or die tryin'.

Actually I picked both a Fender Strat and a Gibson LP. each has it's own unique style, tone and playability.

Of course I have 2 Strats and only 1 LP...........

Gotta have both. And a Gretch and a Martin and a Taylor and a Rickenbacker and a...

It's all about having a wide range of tones at your disposal.

My first Fender guitar was a Telecaster that I bought brand new in 1968. I just liked the durability of it and how it kept on sounding great no matter how far I went with it and how beat up it got along the way and that led me to other Fender guitars and a few "other" six stringers.

Reputation, history, Artist that I look up to play Fenders. My father also owned a Stratocaster before I did.

For me it was the only choice. getting back into playing after a 25 year break, meant that I was starting right from scratch. I wanted to re learn on a quality guitar so as I said... Fender was the only choice

I remember when I was about 15......a friend of mine had a Martin and was on hard times. He wanted to sell it for $250. I was a kid, so that might have been a million dollars. I wish I could have bought it.

1968??????????? I thought I was the only one older than dirt in here! Heck.........I graduated High School in 1968! Looks like I have a fellow dinosaur in here. (always pictured Miami Mike as "young")
