I've met and seen Ronnie several times and think he's one of the finest players today.

I finally got one of his CDs; his last I think. Really good. I hope he is doing well. I would really like to see one of his performances.

I'm a big Ronnie Earl fan :!: I first met Ronnie back in the '80s. he was too talkative until I mentioned that he reminded me of Magic Sam, and that I had played several musicians who also played with magic Sam.

Earl taught me to play 'San Ho Zay' during a break once. His video lesson has been re-released on DVD 'Ronnie Earl: Blues Guitar With Soul' http://www.amazon.com/Ronnie-Earl-Blues-Guitar-Soul/dp/B000BM7YWY/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/102-1711901-3798558?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1186003482&sr=8-2.

I don't recommend this for beginners, but I would still get it, it has great tips on playing blues guitar, with soul.[/url]
