Thanks for the info. The vox I played around with was the AD50VT. I haven't played the Fender Blues Junior. Is it better sounding as far as Bluesy sounding? I like the sound of SRV and would like to be able to duplicate that. I may end up getting a Strat also. I do love the sound of a telecaster though.

You'd definitely be happier with the Blues Junior.

Thanks for all the help. I just went down and picked up the baja tele. It is a beauty. You guys were spot on. I played it and the American Standard that is 1399 and has a lot of the same specs, like the S-1 switch, etc. I honestly like the sound of the Baja. I am no player mind you, as I am just learning, but I really liked the way the Baja felt and sounded. I just wanted to say thanks for all the help keeping me from buying that POS. He even tried to sell me a 91 MIM Strat for $450! The thing was pretty, and had good sound, but had GROOVES worn in the first three frets, and a ratty case. I have to stay away from him after this. Sad thing is, he just builds guitars, airbrushes them up, and has one of the many musicians sign them and then sells them to suckers on E Bay. Sad sad guy. Thanks guys for keeping me with a nice and REAL fender tele.

Thanks for all of the help. I just got home from the local guitar store where i bought......The Baja!!! I have to say I freaking love this thing! I got the one that you can see the grain of the wood through the finish, and it is beautiful. The S-1 switch gives me so many options that it will take me a while to figure it out. The neck feels perfect and plays so much better than a 93 Korean Plywood did. Shocking, I know, but true. The guy tried to sell me a MIM 91 Strat for the "cheap" price of $450. The frets had grooves in them, even though the previous owner had "only played it twice"! I learned to never go back to that guy unless I need to buy some ocean front property in Arizona. Thanks again for all of the help. I am proud to now be a member of the Fender family!
