I like the '61 Strat and The DuoSonic but really that
1955 Gibson ES-5 archtop electric guitar with a natural finish, and a maple body and spruce top (estimate: $8,000-$10,000) would be cool to have. :D

Always wondered what happened to Steely Dan. Thanks, for the link Mike.

Looks to be a great auction. Except for what looks to be the proverbial headstock cigarette burn, the ‘57 Duo-Sonic looks like it was seldom played unlike my Steely Dan recordings.

Thanks for the music, WB

It's a 1957 Fender Duo-Sonic electric guitar which can be seen with Becker in a photograph used in the liner notes to the 1977 Steely Dan album Aja.

Quite a few guitars listed here :

Becker apparently owned more gear than everyone I know put together.

Thanks for posting this Mike!!
That is certainly one hell of a collection of iconic and custom built guitars/amps/pedals & studio equipment.

The early bidding has been low and with so much gear, chances are good if you're bidding.

I'm seriously thinking about throwing a few bids here and there. Will have to see how it goes, I'd imagine there will be a sharp increase as the date gets closer and the vintage retailers will probably bring some heat to the live action.
Thanks again for the heads up.

I bid on 7 items the other day, so far 5 are holding up. I was outbid immediately on 1 item and 1 item today. I expect this will continue as the auction date gets closer to live.
Honestly I do not expect any of my initial bids to win. But it gives me an idea of where I stand when they go live. It also forces me to narrow my wants and time to study the items better. Initially I had a little over 30 items of interest to me.
If you sign up, you can download the catalog for free, better item photo and easier to navigate through all the items.
