The seond level served as tennis courts for awhile among all that glorious piping and rigging... Looking at all that hardware through those tall shattered windows was quite fascinating.

(Wildly off topic - sorry!) Another one over my way that we saved AND found a use for was this, London's Bankside Power Station:
Image

The outside has been left almost unscathed, save for that glass section on top. The inside was torn out to turn it into the modern branch of the Tate Gallery. Before they did that you could go and see the fabulous old 1920s turbines, all gleaming brass, cast iron and huge pressure gauges. The entire lot was ripped apart for scrap.

I'll show my true philistine colors by saying I found that machinary far more beautiful than most of what goes on in there nowadays...!

Still alive and kicking, business in the bail bonds world has begun to pick up too.

Made most of my income fixing, buying and selling the stuff that makes those of us who hang out here smile !!!

Just bought a 66 Champ that should get here by Friday, born the same year as me, i just might have to keep it.

Sold some of my own stuff that I will no doubt regret too.

Hey, still own my home and my family is good, no complaints here.

Hey blues bondsman: glad to hear you're getting through. Sounds like it hasn't been total meltdown, at least...

And how do you feel about this thread, which is really yours, after all? 30 pages and running: a pretty cool contribution you made, huh? Lotta fun been had thanks to you: respect!

Cheers - C

Doc, I do have one of me shirtless and longer hair but not with a guitar. I'll have to dig it out of the scrape books for you this week.
I do have one now of my new guitar teacher showing me how to hold my Gilmour. If it is offensive to Brad or anyone else I'll remove it. Here it is

Your teacher is exactly right: that's a very nice way to hold your DG.

I'm sure you're learning a lot from those lessons.

BTW: Hop, do you have a flame maple bodied electro with a cutaway, a laminated neck and Grover tuners you'd like to tell us about? How tantalizing of you not to show the front of the headstock on that one...

Cheers - C

Ha! That's just to see how observant you were Ceri! It is a Gibson J-185 EC acoustic electric. That's what I use for songwriting! As if I could write! I did not want to post it in it's full glory on the Fender Forum.

Gosh! Mr Hopkins, you have some very nice gear! I doubt anyone would object to pictures like that (meaning the Gibson) around here - and nuts to them if they do!

You have excellent taste in guitars - and teachers, of course...

Cheers - C
