If you're referring to this photo contest, the answer is: no one. We're leaving it up until the shirts sell out or I get tired of it, whichever comes first. LOL!

Whoa: hold on, hold on! Gimme another couple of days. Or a week...

I agree, Ceri! I just got my plan of attack figured out. Game on.

Thanks for the great photo belphedeus, and for keeping this thread fresh.

Anyone else out there with a new shirt photo? Come on!

OK, we will! While we're waiting for that...

My wife flatly refused to stand in the middle of the road to get the right angle on this shot. Still, considering the strapline on the bottom of all his posts, if F Hopkins doesn't know where this pedestrian crossing is I'm going to be most disappointed:
Image

We tried each of the famous gentlemen's positions for the pic:

I'd intended to take my shoes off for the Paul McCartney look, but when I saw the flocks of tourists surrounding the scene I couldn't bring myself to be so corny in public. Londoners know to avoid this quiet residential street if they need to get somewhere quickly, because all day every day traffic is held up by this kind of activity:

That last picture was particularly entertaining: the woman in white trousers is in fact stationary as she holds the pose for her friend to get the shot, much to the annoyance of the driver of the Merc. Some vigorous hand gestures were observed from him. I wonder if she wore white pants that day specifically in honor of John Lennon?

You can watch the tourists' antics live on the webcam:

http://www.abbeyroad.co.uk/visit/

Even more sweetly, there are a couple of other pedestrian crossings nearby (we call those black and white ones "zebra crossings" in the UK). Tourists who've got it slightly wrong can also be seen posing for shots on those other ones, to the greater exasperation of drivers, who have already been held up once. Going to be very disappointing when they get home and compare their pics with the album cover...

Anyhow: the Forum T-shirt shot. Here is Abbey Road Studio itself:
Image

And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Arguably the most famous recording studios on the planet are really just an ordinary North London house. A bit deceptive: there's acres of studio buildings stuck on the back, and big trucks full of gear parked down the side.

Still, not showy. It seems classical composer Edward Elgar conducted the first recording ever made at Abbey Road in 1931, according to that plaque on the front:
Image

So there you go: that's how I spent my Saturday afternoon...

Cheers - C

Lil' man, come on. We've been waiting for this day for 2 months. It really sucks being sick but we need some pics.

Ceri, those are some great pics. Thanks for sharing them.
